Why Victoria homeowners choose Shine
Know what your roof needs before you decide.
Moss on a Victoria roof is easy to ignore from the ground and expensive to ignore for long: it lifts shingles, holds water and shortens roof life. We tell you exactly what the roof needs, in writing, before any work is booked.
Soft wash only
We never pressure wash shingles. Pressure strips granules and voids roof warranties; our process is roof-safe.
Removed by hand, then treated
Moss is physically removed, then the roof is treated so regrowth is slowed for seasons, not weeks.
Insured & WorkSafeBC covered
$2M liability insurance and WorkSafeBC coverage on every job, every technician.
Gutters cleared with every roof
The moss we remove never ends up in your gutters: they’re cleared as part of the job.

Is the quote really free, and do you need to visit?
Yes, it’s free with no obligation. Most Greater Victoria homes can be quoted in writing from the address and a quick phone call, so you don’t need to take time off for a visit. If the roof is unusual, we’ll arrange a quick look first.
What happens after I submit the form?
During business hours a Shine team member calls back within about 15 minutes to confirm the property and prepare your written quote. Evenings and weekends, you’ll hear from us first thing the next business morning.
Do you pressure wash roofs?
No. Pressure washing strips granules from asphalt shingles and can void warranties. We remove moss by hand, soft wash, and apply a treatment that slows regrowth.
How long does the treatment last?
It depends on tree cover and shade, but most roofs stay noticeably cleaner for multiple seasons. Every job is backed by our 2-year written guarantee.
Are you insured?
Yes. Shine carries $2M liability insurance and every technician is covered by WorkSafeBC.
Can I call instead?
Absolutely. Call 778-561-1302 and speak with our Victoria team.
